A wrong field used to be a wrong field. Now it is a confident answer, served to a client or a regulator, and nobody can reconstruct where the number came from.

Capture tools extract values. They do not attest to them. Forge produces records that carry their own evidence — every value traceable to a file, a page and a region, every value below your threshold stopped and routed to a named steward rather than flowing through quietly. The cost of a bad extraction has moved from rework to attestation risk, and that is a different budget with a different owner.

Every customer runs the same artifact at the same version — what differs between two deployments is configuration you could read.

How onboarding runs
The rule that keeps this honest. If you need something the runtime does not do, it goes into the runtime for everyone, or into a pack — or it does not get built. There are no customer-specific branches. You can check that claim against the public changelog, and against the published licence model. Optim, the routing and cost engine, runs underneath all of it — per-page model routing, realtime cloud and token usage, and spend forecasting. It is in the runtime at every tier, which is why the cost per page is lower than the vendor quoting you next.

A new household takes six weeks to onboard, so week-one advice is based only on the assets you could already see.

Trust deeds, ACAT packs and held-away statements are re-keyed by hand today. Forge types them straight into the household master — including the held-away positions that never got structured, which is usually where the advice actually lives. Every value lands with a page reference, or it abstains into the steward queue.

What we do not have yet, said here rather than found later. No named customer with a published number, and the sandbox is currently a guided five-day evaluation rather than a self-serve one. Both are on the changelog and neither is hidden behind a form. If a vendor’s site does not tell you what it is missing, that is the thing worth asking about.
